How to request deletion of your personal data

Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from The Willy Series. This page explains how to make such a request and what happens to your data.

1. What Data Can Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture
  • Authentication Data: Google and Facebook account linkages
  • Baseball Statistics: All your game performance data and records
  • Game Participation: Your participation in lineups and team assignments
  • Financial Records: Any contribution records associated with your account
  • Profile Updates: All modifications and changes to your profile
  • Session Data: Login history and usage patterns

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Through Your Account

Log in to your account and go to your dashboard to find account deletion options.

Send us an email with your deletion request and we'll process it manually.

3. Information Required for Manual Requests

If you contact us directly for data deletion, please provide the following information to help us locate and verify your account:

  • Full Name: The name associated with your account
  • Email Address: The email used to sign up (Google or Facebook email)
  • Authentication Method: Whether you signed up with Google, Facebook, or both
  • Verification: Send the request from the email address associated with your account
Important Note

For security purposes, we can only process deletion requests from the email address associated with your account or through your authenticated account session.

4. What Happens After Your Request

We acknowledge receipt of your deletion request within 24 hours.

We verify your identity and account ownership (1-2 business days).

Data Preparation

We prepare your data for deletion and create a final backup for legal compliance (2-3 business days).

Deletion Complete

Your data is permanently deleted from our systems and you receive confirmation (within 7 business days).

5. What Data May Be Retained

In certain limited circumstances, some data may be retained:

  • Legal Obligations: Data required to be kept by law or regulation
  • Security Purposes: Basic logs for fraud prevention (anonymized)
  • Aggregated Statistics: Anonymous, non-identifiable statistical data
  • Financial Records: Transaction records may be kept for accounting/tax purposes (as required by law)

6. Impact of Data Deletion

Permanent Action

Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your data is deleted:

  • You will lose access to your account and all associated data
  • Your baseball statistics and game history will be permanently removed
  • You cannot recover your account or data
  • You will need to create a new account to use the service again

7. Alternative Options

Before requesting complete data deletion, consider these alternatives:

  • Account Deactivation: Temporarily disable your account without deleting data
  • Privacy Settings: Adjust what information is visible to other users
  • Data Export: Download a copy of your data before deletion
  • Selective Deletion: Remove specific statistics or game records
